With his martial arts journey beginning at 5 years old through karate and kickboxing, Eoin Sheridan has gone on to success in kickboxing – thanks to a two-time Team Ireland representative at the IMMAF Championships and an ISKA Irish National Kickboxing Championship in 2017. An SBG Ireland product, Sheridan, a former training partner of Conor McGregor, is known not just for his strikes, but his strategic and strong usage of range. Sheridan is 2-0 and made his PFL debut in December, scoring a decision over Brice Belghazi.
Malichi Edwards also has had success in a striking discipline, going 27-4 in amateur Muay Thai, with a WKA UK title at 63.5 kg in 2018. Edwards has transitioned well into MMA, going 4-1 so far with three finishes to his name. Now making his first appearance on a major MMA stage tonight, Edwards last fought in January, finishing Vinicius do Ramo.
Who will come out victorious in what should be a hard-fought striking battle?
