Seconds into PFL Tenure, Baris Adiguzel has a spot in PFL Europe Bantamweight Finals
September 26, 2025 | Thomas Albano

With Mahio Campanella unable to compete in the Semifinals, Baris Adiguzel gets a major opportunity, competing in a PFL Europe Semifinal in his first fight with the PFL. The Boxing Squad product is 8-1 currently in professional MMA, which includes a regional title to his name. Known for his explosive starts and his striking, Adiguzel, who has seen all seven of his finishes come in the first round, defeated Cleiton Monteiro in May in his most recent outing.
After coming up short in his first-round matchup with Jan Cieplowski, Julien Lopez gets a second chance on just a few days’ notice following the withdrawal of Anas Azizoun. He’s no stranger to short notice big opportunities, taking a fight on just three days’ notice in June 2024 and shocking Dominique Wooding with a first-round guillotine comeback to clinch a playoff spot. Lopez is 7-5-1 in MMA, including five wins via a finish.
With both of these two getting a huge opportunity, who will take full advantage and go on to compete against Dean Garnett for the 2025 PFL Europe Bantamweight Tournament Title at the Finals this December?
Round 1
Adiguzel comes forward and lands a couple of high kicks early. Strong uppercut early to get Lopez in some trouble. A couple of more left hands, and Lopez is down! Lopez shells up on his back! Adiguzel rains down blows, and it’s over just like that!
