Boris Atangana Makes Statement With Solid First-Round Finish

After an 8-0 run on the amateur circuit, Boris Atangana steps into tonight’s bout with a 6-0 pro record, with his longest fight to date coming in just under 13 minutes. All six of his wins have come via a finish, which includes a third-round submission and five first-round KO/TKOs. A former regional heavyweight champion, Atangana made his PFL debut in July, scoring a sub-minute finish of Bruno Santos.

Jhony Gregory has competed in regional promotions throughout his native Brazil, but he makes his PFL debut tonight. Nine of Gregory’s 10 victories have come via a finish, with eight coming in the first round. Gregory has won three straight entering tonight, most recently submitting Alvaro Luiz just last month.

Who will impress and come out on top in this light heavyweight showcase that serves as tonight’s co-main event?

Gregory misses a left, and Atangana lands one of his own. Another exchange. Gregory goes for a spinning attack, but Atangana catches him with a solid left hand that knocks out his mouthpiece!

Atangana goes down with him and rains down blows! Gregory is struggling and trying to defend, but the pressure is too much! The ref steps in!
